  7. PROCOMM PLUS Network Version is designed to work with third-party network
  8. asynchronous communications servers (ACS). An ACS is usually a dedicated
  9. machine on your local area network that operates as a ``modem pool'' or gateway
  10. into outside connections. PROCOMM PLUS Network Version works in conjunction
  11. with the ACS to allow workstations on the network to access services on the
  12. ACS. This eliminates the need for individual modems on workstations and allows
  13. users to ``share'' modems on the ACs

  15. PROCOMM PLUS Network Version supports any ACS product that uses one of the
  16. following APIs (Application Program Interfaces): NCSI/NASI, BAPI, IBM, ACSI,
